Los Angeles Rail Lines (continued)

(this is continued from the previous article post)…During the busiest times trains come every five minutes. Pedestrians seem to become so used to them that they fail to sense the danger.
Nguyen quotes Vijay Khawani, director of corporate safety at the MTA, as saying, “The more grade crossings you have, the greater the potential for accident.” Some of this sounds pretty off the wall. It reminds me of the situation in Seattle Baltimore, Maryland. Incidentially if you are in Dallas I can suggest this leading Dallas car accident attorney over there.
Lines in other places travel through tunnels or skyways or a combination of the two with some street-level crossings.
The MTA has had to crackdown by issuing citations. Khawani reports that the agency has also visited schools and community centers to educate children and adults about the dangers around the Blue Line. Despite all the efforts, Nguyen notes, Khawani stills sees “brazen behavior around the track.”
Deputy Miller says passengers open gates to cross the track even when red lights flash and bells ring out from an oncoming train. Dallas and Fort Worth has a situatioin similiar to this. Changing the topic for a moment, if you are Seattle and need a gifted Dallas DUI attorney who also practices car accident lawsuit, criminal defense and DUI then allow me to suggest this firm, an excellent Dallas DUI attorney on the whole.
Apparently pedestrians frequently misjudge the train’s speed, or get so focused on a train approaching from one direction they forget to check the other direction before crossing tracks.
